Lifting Communities. Changing Lives.

Vernetha Jackson

first time homeowner

At age 63, grandmother and beloved public school employee Vernetha Jackson thought her dream of homeownership was destined to remain just that, a dream. However, Uplift Capital Partners worked with Vernetha to develop the financial foundation needed to purchase a home.

By taking advantage of financial education counseling, a Matched Savings Account (IDA) that helped her save, and free tax preparation through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, Vernetha was able to get her financial house in order so that Uplift Capital Partners could make her dream a reality.
